“Having met Maria at a business networking breakfast, I was very impressed with the images Maria displayed. When I wanted to come up with something to promote spinal health, I came up with the crazy idea of having an actual bony spine painted directly onto my own spine using professional body painters. Maria was commissioned to photograph the end result.
I hadn’t anticipated just how difficult modelling could be when the canvas being used was my own body, or the artistic challenge involved in digitally manipulating the artwork to end up with such captivating photographic images.
